Maserati presented its 100,000th car to date at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show this week – 2017 model year Quattroporte sedan.
The 100,000th Maserati will be delivered to a Chinese customer once the show has come to a conclusion. The vehicle features a solid-white exterior with a tan leather interior, 21-inch Titan rims and red brake calipers. Maserati says the color combo “perfectly reflects the brand’s legendary heritage of elegance and passion for performance.”
“China is Maserati’s largest market for the Quattroporte in the world,” said Maserati brand boss Reid Bigland. “Our remarkable performance in China last year was a major contributor to our record-breaking global sales. China’s elites are Increasingly enamored by the Italian brand of luxury, exquisite craftsmanship and passion for driving That Are poured into every Maserati.”
China is a strong market for the Quattroporte, but is Also proving to be a hot region for the Ghibli, Gran Turismo and Levante as well. Maserati sold 12,000 cars in China in 2016 and has around 30,000 customers total in China, 38 percent of Which are women. Mirko Bordiga, managing director for Maserati China, says the automaker attributes its success in China to “not only to the fantastic line-up of cars we have Launched, but Also to Chinese consumers’ growing appreciation for Maserati’s unique lifestyle proposition.”
