There are several famous owners of the LaFerrari hypercar, including celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and three-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton. Those two ordered their cars in yellow and red, respectively, which are run of the mill Ferrari colors. However one celebrity owner of the hypercar, Jay Kay of Jamiroquai, was a bit more adventurous when ordering his car.
Jay Kay’s LaFerrari is the only lime green example of the car built by Ferrari. It’s not clear why the frontman wanted his LaFerrari in green, but we’re assuming it was simply out of the desire to be different. It’s also possible he was inspired by the Ferrari 599 HY-KERS, which was painted in metallic lime green as an ode to its kinetic energy recovery hybrid system. Whatever the reason, it’s certainly a polarizing color to paint your Ferrari.
YouTube’s Marchettino recently tracked down Jay Kay’s unique LaFerrari and filmed it so car-obsessed people on the internet like us could get a better look. Check out the video embedded above and let us know what you think of the Kermit-inspired Ferrari in the comments below.
