Craigslist is an infamous source of ridiculous for sale listings and “personal ads”, but we really think the website has outdone itself with what might be one of the worst examples of automotive passions colliding we’ve ever laid eyes upon: a 1932 Ford Hot Rod powered by a twin-turbocharged Ferrari V8.
This ungodly mashup is powered by a 3.0-liter Ferrari V8 that is apparently from 1989, but Ferrari didn’t produce any cars with a 3.0-liter displacement that year, so who really knows what it’s from or what the displacement is. The engine has two turbochargers with Mishimoto intercoolers and is good for a claimed 950 horsepower, but that seems figure a little ambitious. We’re also a little concerned about the reliability. Let’s just say there’s a reason you’ve never seen a 950 horsepower Ferrari V8-powered drag car.
The builder wants $250,000 for this accident/fire/repair bill waiting to happen, just in case you were feeling extra self-destructive today and were interested in buying it. Check out the listing at this link for additional information and photos.
