Jeep recently said it’s difficult to think of new ideas for its Moab Easter Jeep Safari concepts having already built so many good ones, but if the new Jeep Quicksand concept is any indication, the ideas department Jeep is still full of inspiration.
The Quicksand is a retro-inspired dune runner that is easily the most extreme of this year’s Moab concepts. Under the hood is a 392 HEMI V8 engine, which is linked to a six-speed manual Getrag transmission and adorned with a Gasser-inspired exhaust system.
The Wrangler-based concept also features and lengthened chassis and coilover shocks for high-speed off-road stability and performance and BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires wrapped over hot-rod look ‘kidney bean’ alloy wheels.
The retro-look continues inside with the front low bucket seats, red upholstery, flat aluminum door panels and chrome roll bar. Other add-ons we spot include a Viper steering wheel, a Warn winch out front and a Moon tank.
