Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne earned 10.8 million euros in 2016, roughly equivalent to $11.5 million USD.
The executive’s salary for 2016 was essentially unchanged from 2015 at 3.61 million euros, however he technically made less money as he was not awarded any shares in the automaker last year. His 10.8 million euro pay for 2016 is comprised of the 3.61 million euro salary, a 6.3 million euro bonus and 917,670 euros in other compensation.
In 2015, Marchionne received a base salary of 3.6 million euros, a 6.3 million bonus and 126,610 euros in other compensations. He was also awarded $62.7 million in equity based on shares and a one-time stock grant, swelling his yearly salary that year to $73.55 million.
Marchionne is also the chairman of CNH Industrial, one of the world’s largest capital good companies and the CEO of Ferrari. His annual salaries for those two positions have yet to be revealed.
