The Chrysler Pacifica minivan has been named to Consumer Reports’ list of the Best Three Row Vehicles for the 2017 model year.
In addition to the Pacifica, the Dodge Grand Caravan also made the cut as one of the best vehicles with a third row of seating on sale today, despite the Grand Caravan’s age and relative lack of technology.
Strangely, Consumer Reports doesn’t rate the Grand Caravan very highly, even though it named it one of the best three row vehicles for 2017. The publication says the Dodge’s low price is attractive, but said there is “no escaping the reality that this is an older design that falls short as a family road-trip machine.” We get the feeling its approachable MSRP and good practicality landed it a spot on the list.
Two Fiat Chrysler vehicles may have landed on the Best Three Row Vehicles list, but one of the automaker’s offerings, the Dodge Journey, found itself on CR’s list of the Worst Three Row Vehicles. This result will come as no surprise to anyone who has ridden in the aging Journey as of late. Luckily Dodge has plans to replace the crossover with an all-new model.
