When it comes to fast American four-doors, there’s nothing quite like the 707 horsepower, 204 mph Dodge Charger Hellcat. If there’s one domestic sedan that can hold a candle to the venerable Hellcat, though, it’s the Cadillac CTS-V.
At a recent Bay Area Racing airstrip drag event, a Charger Hellcat took on a modified second-generation CTS-V. The CTS-V was upgraded with a modified camshaft and some other unspecified upgrades – which the 550 horsepower Caddy needs to keep up with the much more powerful Hellcat.
The Hellcat beat the Cadillac from a dig, but the CTS-V manages to reel the Charger in shortly before they reach the finish line. We don’t want to ruin the race for you, so check it out in the video above to see which super sedan reigns supreme in this tightly contested matchup.
