The Maserati Levante has been named a ‘Contender’ for Automobile Magazine‘s 2017 ‘All-Stars’ list.
The Levante was launched in North America for the 2017 model year with 3.0-liter gas V6 available in 350 horsepower guise in the standard version of the crossover and 430 horsepower guise in the Levante S. Automobile got its hands on the more powerful version of Maserati’s first-ever sport utility vehicle, praising the vehicles dynamics and comfy interior but docking it marks for its looks.
“There is no shortage of zippy crossovers on the market, but few have the quirky, characterful appeal of the Levante, from the bass hum of its exhaust note to the tall aluminum blades of its paddle shifters,” said Automobile contributor Basem Wasef.
Other crossover ‘Contenders’ in Autombile’s ‘All Stars’ list include the Cadillac XT5, Jaguar F-Pace, Mazda CX-9 and Bentley Bentayga. Click here to view every vehicle in the running for ‘All Stars’ before the publication announces its winners over the next few days.
