If you can’t wait for Jeep to drop a diesel engine into the Jeep Wrangler JL and money is no object to you, we may have dug up a good alternative for you. A 2007 Jeep Wrangler nicknamed ‘Rattetraip’ has popped up for sale on DuPont Registry for $225,000 and it’s described as being the “the ultimate Cummins Jeep.”
Under the hood of the Rattletrap is a 5.9-liter twin-turbocharged Cummins inline-six engine that is apparently rated at over 500 horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft of torque. It also rides on a completely custom frame, features 44-inch Pit Bull Rocker Tires, Stazworks 20-inch double beadlock wheels, custom fabricated rock rails, huge light bars and a countless list of other custom components. The interior is also fully customized with bucket seats with racing harnesses, a billet steering wheel, and satellite navigation.
Rattletrap was built by Martin Barkey Racing Products of Huntsville, Ontario. It’s not clear if that’s where the vehicle currently resides, but we’re sure Martin will ship the vehicle off to any interested parties for a price. Check out the listing here for additional photos and more information on this wild 1 and a half year build.
