Many cars typically driven by automotive enthusiasts are attention-grabbing sportscars, but every now and then something like the Lancia Delta Integrale comes along, which has connected, visceral driving experience to go along with its unassuming looks.
The Delta Integrale was recently the subject of a Petrolicious video in which the publication interviews Martin Middleton, the founder of Middleton Motor Services in Warwickshire, UK. Middleton Motor Services is your standard automotive service garage, but Middleton’s past is rich in motorsports history and he even has a few keepsakes to back up some of his interesting anecdotes.
As for Middleton’s Lancia – it’s a modest white example that lacks the garish spoiler and Martini livery seen on other Delta Integrales. To anyone not in the know, the four-door hatchback looks like any other economy car from the 1980s, but as Middleton would tell you, it’s driving experience is far from that of any soccer practice shuttle.
