Ferrari remains the world’s strongest automotive brand and is among the top 10 strongest brands across any industry, according to valuation and strategy consultancy Brand Finance.
In addition to retaining its title as the automaker with the strongest branding, Ferrari also extended its advantage over second place Porsche in the study. Brand Finance says Ferrari’s brand strength improved by three points year-over-year to 92, in turn boosting its brand rating to the highest possible AAA+ designation. Porsche’s brand score is 86.

The automaker went public with an IPO in late 2016 and chairman Sergio Marchionne has said the brand will boost its annual production output from 7,000 to 9,000 units annually, making its road cars less exclusive. Helping to boost its brand awareness and impression, however, is the soon-to-be opened Ferrari Land theme park in Spain. The automaker also has plans to build theme parks in China and the U.S.
