Fiat Chrysler has announced changes to its senior leadership in China and the Asian Pacific and Latin American regions.
Daphne Zheng has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of FCA’s Chinese operations. Zheng formerly served as the Managing Director of FCA’s Chinese joint venture Guangzhou Automotive Group (GAC) and has also held other senior sales and marketing roles within FCA in China.
Paul Alcala has been named the Chief Operating Officer of the Asia Pacific regions for FCA, excluding China. Alcala is a 29-year veteran of FCA and most recently served as the head of China developments for GAC. He has also held of operational leadership roles in Europe, Latin America, and the U.S.
Mike Manley, former head of the Asia Pacific region, will continue as the global head of the Jeep and Ram brands. Manley will remain on FCA’s Group Executive Council, the highest management body within FCA, with Zhenge and Alcala also joining the GEC’s roster.
Additionally, Davide Mele has been appointed as the appointed deputy COO for the Latin American region. He will answer to Stefan Ketter – current COO of Latin America and FCA’s Chief Manufacturing Officer. Mele previously served as the Chief Financial Officer in the region.
