Ferrari is inviting its customers to sign up for the annual 2017 Targa Florio and 2017 Mille Miglia road rally tribute events, both of which are scheduled to take place this spring.
The annual Targa Florio tribute is held in a similar spirit as the original Targa Florio, an open road endurance race first held in 1906 and won by drivers such as Juan Manuel Fangio and Arturo Merzario. Participants don’t race in the tribute event but are rather encouraged to drive their historic automobiles in a responsbiel manner whilst drinking in the Italian roads and scenery.
This year’s edition of the Targa Florio will be the 101st running of the event and will be held from April 20th to April 30th. The event will tour through some of the most iconic parts of Italy and will even stop off at the Autodromo di Pergusa so participants can get some track time. Ferrari owners of all models are invited to sign up at this link.
Similar to the Targa Florio is the Ferrari Tribute to Mille Miglia – another tribute to an open road endurance race of days gone by. As is customary, the event will start and end in Brescia and the owners of Ferraris built before 1957 will be invited to participate in the regularity time race. Ferrari cars from more modern eras will be entered in a different regularity race with similar vehicles. Interested parties can sign up for Ferrari’s Mille Miglia tribute at this link.
