It’s not easy for aftermarket parts manufactures to get access to some of the cars they want to produce parts for. That’s where’s the Specialty Equipment Manufacturer Association’s (SEMA) ‘Measuring Session’ events come in handy – allowing SEMA members to get hands on with new cars, measure their various parts and also photograph the entire process.
In an upcoming SEMA Measuring Session, attendees will have the opportunity to measure the Ferrari 488 GTB and the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. The two cars are obviously high-dollar and thus difficult for some shops to get their hands on, so we’re sure many won’t want to miss out on this opportunity.
An Eventbrite page for the upcoming Measuring Session reads:
“Scheduled to take place at the MG Studio in downtown Los Angeles, SEMA members are invited to experience this versatile new event space conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Due to the non-traditional environment, only basic tools and floor lifts will be supplied. Disassembly is permitted, as well as photography, however you are encouraged to bring any specialty tools necessary to your task. The event will be open from 9am till 4pm with light refreshments available.”
We’re not SEMA members, so we won’t be able to attend, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t interested in seeing the photos some return with. Check out the Eventbrite page for the upcoming event at this link.
