Dodge’s latest teaser video for the 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon SRT shows us more of the upcoming muscle car than we’ve ever seen before.
The video, entitled ‘Body’, shows the widebody muscle car performing a burnout as its supercharged V8 whines and its extra wide drag radial-type tires smoke. The vehicle then pulls away and leaves extra wide tire tracks in its wake before a photo of the vehicle’s rear end flashes on screen for a quick second or two.
The previous teaser video for the Demon revealed the Challenger will undergo in a weight reduction process in transforming to the Demon, with rumors indicating it will weigh 200 lbs less than the 707 horsepower Challenger Hellcat. Fiat Chrysler also revealed today the car will feature lightweight 18 x 11-inch wheels shod in Demon branded 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R tires at all four corners (pictured below).
“The combination of the 11-inch-wide wheels, high-profile drag radials and integrated fender flares adds 3.5 inches to the overall width of the Challenger SRT Demon for an intimidating, purposeful stance,” FCA said in a prepared statement on the 2018 Demon.
