We already know the widebody Dodge Challenger ADR is inbound, but the flared out muscle car may have made its first appearance in the recently released trailer for ‘The Fate of The Furious’.
The new trailer, which debuted Sunday, shows several of the cars to be featured in the film, including a Plymouth GTX, Jaguar F-Type, Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, C2 Chevrolet Corvette, Lamborghini Murcielago and Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The most interesting of all is the widebody Challenger, however, several of which appear at the beginning of the three-minute trailer.
Short flashes showing the Challenger on screen reveal flared out fenders, a wider front and rear track and a Challenger Hellcat inspired front end and contrasting matte black hood. There’s every possibility the Challenger is an aftermarket job done up for the film, but the Fast and Furious franchise has a tendency to overdo its movie cars and this muscle car looks suspiciously tame.
Check out the trailer above and let us know in the comments below if you think the Challenger featured is the yet-to-be unveiled Challenger ADR.
