For $30,000 you could get yourself into just about any new Fiat you want, but for a similar price you could also take home this endearing Fiat 500 Jolly currently up for auction over on Bring A Trailer.
The 500 Jolly was designed from the get-go to be an estate car capable of shuffling the wealthy around the large properties of their vacation homes and taking short jaunts to the beach or store. Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli used the larger 600 Jolly as his beach car and it’s rumored that shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis and president Lyndon B. Johnson also kept the Jolly in their company.
This 500 Jolly was originally painted dark red, however it was adorned with the bright shade of orange seen here after undergoing a full cosmetic restoration in 2015. The 500cc two-cylinder engine was also rebuilt in July of this year, with the car having been driven 122 miles since. It is sold with a New York title and certificates from the Ghia Club of Italy and Registro Storico verifying its authenticity.
Bidding sits at $27,500 at the time of writing with 6 days and 3 hours left to bid. Check out the listing here.
