Many Jeep Wrangler fans wish Fiat Chrysler would start offering the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine under the hood of the rugged-looking off-roader. It doesn’t appear that will ever happen, but if all some of these enthusiasts are looking for is a meaner sounding power plant, Flowmaster might have a solution.
The famous exhaust purveyor recently launched its ‘Outlaw’ exhaust system for the Jeep Wrangler JK. The axle-back system is for two- and four-door models and consists of a stainless steel ‘Outlaw Series’ muffler, dual 2.5-inch tailpipes and 4-inch black ceramic coated stainless steel exhaust tips.
Flowmaster says the system provides “aggressive exterior and moderate interior exhaust tone.” It posted a demonstration video to its YouTube page showing off these characteristics and we think they’ve nailed it. We hear a refined-sounding interior tone with a loud, raspy exterior noise. You can listen to the new exhaust system in the video embedded above and learn more about Flowmaster’s Outlaw exhaust kit for the Jeep Wrangler JK at this link.
