There’s something about American fashion moguls and car collections. Ralph Lauren’s 70 plus automobiles are valued at over $300 million and his rival Tommy Hilfiger has been known to dabble in automotive exotica as well.
Unlike Ralph Lauren, who seems inseparable from his hoard of Ferraris, Hilfiger has decided to downsize his collection. The Greenwhich, Connecticut native will soon send his 2003 Ferrari Enzo to auction and with Enzo values as high as ever, he’s set to make a pretty penny on the sale.
The Enzo will be sold off by RM Sotheby’s at its upcoming Arizona sale. The listing is as vague as can be, only mentioning the car was from the collection of Hilfiger, but the pictures speak for themselves. An untouched tool kit, immaculate interior and an engine bay clean enough to eat off are indicative of the kind of care it has been shown since it first left Maranello in May of 2003.
RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale will go down on January 19th and 20th.
