Fiat Chrysler offered the JK Jeep Wrangler in a special army-inspired Mojave Sand exterior color and it’s easily one of our favorite shades for the SUVs. Now, Mojave Sand is available on the Ram 1500 as well with the introduction of the new Ram Rebel 1500 Mojave Sand edition.
The Ram Rebel 1500 Mojave Sand is the first-ever Ram model to wear Mojave Sand paint. In addition to the unique color, the truck also wears matte black decals on its hood and black exterior trim pieces.
Inside, the Mojave Sand Rebel has received a new fully black interior with black anodized bezels, black seats with black embroidery (replacing the Radar Red seats in standard Rebels) and Light Slate Gray stitching on the instrument panel, center console lid, doors and seats. Deep rubber floor mats with Rams heads logos are also standard.
Apart from these cosmetic enhancements, the Ram Rebel 1500 Mojave Sand is identical to the standard Ram Rebel. Powertrain offerings consist of a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter HEMI V8, both of which are mated to a eight-speed automatic transmission. All-terrain 33-inch tires, Bilstein shocks, front and rear skid plates and adjustable air suspension are standard.
The Ram Rebel 1500 Mojave Sand will start at $45,590 plus $1,320 destination. Deliveries to dealers will commence in December 2016 and just 1,500 units will be produced.
