Fiat Chrysler celebrated its successful partnership with the music industry during the 2016 AMAs Sunday night by airing two brand-new spots during ABC’s coverage of the annual awards show.
Under the guidance of Chief Marketing Officer Olivier Francois, FCA has collaborated with Atlantic Records and Warner Bros. to have their vehicles featured in various artists’ YouTube music videos. Combined, YouTube music videos featuring FCA vehicles have now racked up more than 7.8 billion views, the automaker says.
Some videos where you may have seen an FCA product featured include the video for Flo Rida’s ‘My House’ (Dodge Durango), Fitz & The Tantrums’ ‘Handclap’ (Fiat 124 Spider), Charlie Puth’s ‘One Call Away’ (Jeep Renegade, Fiat 500X and Dodge Challenger) and Michael Buble’s ‘Nobody But Me’ (Fiat 124 Spider), among many others.
FCA marked the success of the music collaborations by launching a two-minute “mashup” ad featuring all of the music videos its cars were featured in entitled “Music Brings Us Together,” during the AMAs. The award show also saw the debut of its new minute-long Ram Trucks ad entitled ‘Work’, which is an ode to Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work from Home’ music video.
