Fiat Chrysler has announced employees at tis Windsor Assembly Plant in Windsor, Ontario will return to work Monday after the plant was temporarily idled this week.
Production at the Windsor plant, which builds the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans, was put on hold on November 7th due to a parts shortage.
Automotive News notes a fire shortage at Magneti Marelli warehouse in may have caused the parts shortage, but FCA never confirmed such circumstances. Magneti Marelli, an FCA subsidiary, supplies lighting components for the Pacifica.
Windsor Assembly and its 6,000+ strong workforce builds around 1,500 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Pacifica minivans a day across three-shifts.
