The Dodge Charger has received ALG’s Residual Value Award in the ‘Full-Size’ car category for the third consecutive year.
ALG’s annual residual value awards are determined “through careful study of the competition in each segment, historical vehicle performance and industry trends,” the research firm says. Other factors such as vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand, pricing and market strategies also play into the decision.
“Striking a delicate balance between traditional sedan and muscle car, the Dodge Charger represents the shifting trends in the full-size segment,” said ALG vice president of industry insights, Eric Lyman. “A wide range of powertrain and comfort features ensure there is a perfect Charger for every personality. High performance teams up with high value as the Dodge Charger lands back-to-back Residual Value Awards in 2017.”
Dodge updated the Charger for the 2017 model year with minor revisions including the latest version of its UConnect infotainment system, new exterior colors and a new wheel option for Challenger Hellcat models. The Charger Daytona nameplate has also returned for the 2017 model year.
