Most Formula 1 drivers want to race for a team that will enable them to fight for a World Championship. Sebastian Vettel may not be fighting for a fifth WDC at Ferrari this year, but at least his job has some of the best perks of any – like driving the new LaFerrari Aperta for the car’s launch video, for example.
Prior to the LaFerrari Aperta’s official launch in Paris, a photographer caught the car out and about whilst Ferrari was shooting promotional material for the car in Spain. This video appears to be the culmination of that day’s videoshoot, featuring scenes of the Aperta driving through Barcelona and in the Spanish countryside.
The LaFerrari Aperta is the open-top version of the LaFerrari and comes with a removable soft-top roof or an optional removable carbon fiber hardtop. Apart from some minor aerodynamic tweaks and chassis stiffening, it’s identical to the hardtop version, utilizing the same 6.3-liter V12 engine and twin-electric motors for a total output of 950 horsepower. Just 209 units will be built.
