The Ferrari 458 Challenge racecar, used by Ferrari customer drivers in the automaker’s Challenge racing series, debuted in 2010. It’s been racing for nearly 6 full years, so naturally, it’s time for a replacement.
The successor to the 458 Challenge, the 488 Challenge, was recent;y caught on video testing at Monza in Italy. Not surprisingly, it looks similar to the GT3 and GTE-spec Ferrari 488s, however the aero kit is certainly less aggressive.
While this 488 racecar may look less aggressive than the 488 GT3 and GTE, both of which are fielded in professional motorsports series, but its much more aggressive aerodynamically than the outgoing 458 Challenge. Prepare to go faster, Ferrari Challenge drivers.
