Jeep’s fallen victim to some product leaks this week. First, photos of a potential prototype hood for the JL Wrangler surfaced online and then photos of the SUV’s front and fascias also emerged. That latter leak also included a photo of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, the automaker’s upcoming full-size SUV offering that it says will be the “pinnacle of luxury.”
The photo, which was posted by Autoblog, shows the front and rear ends of an SUV next to the current Jeep Grand Cherokee’s recognizable front and rear ends. The SUV appears larger than the Grand Cherokee and also a bit more high-end with neatly integrated chrome elements and multi-point LED headlamps and taillights. It’s safe to assume the larger SUV is the Grand Wagoneer.
FCA has been fairly forthcoming in regards to info on the Grand Wagoneer. The SUV will likely launch for the 2019 model year, setting it up for a 2018 debut date, but we already know it will be joined by a slightly less luxurious Wagoneer variant and that it could cost up to $130- to $140,000 in its most high-end form. With a price point like that, it will surely have the Land Rover Range Rover in its crosshairs.
