Jeep has announced a partnership with the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils that will see the brand become the “exclusive non-luxury vehicle of the Prudential Center and the Devils.”
The deal will add Jeep-themed graphics, Jeep vehicle displays and prize giveaways at the Newark, New Jersey-based Prudential Center. The automaker has installed stairwells on the arena’s parking deck that make fans feel as tough they are “scaling mountains and icy glaciers en-route to the stadium or to their cars,” and the parking deck’s elevators have also been decorated to “offer game attendees a scenic, simulated ride behind the wheel of a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.”
“The Jeep brand has a long history of award-winning vehicles that can ‘go anywhere, do anything’,” said director of Fiat Chrysler’s Northeast Business Center, Jeff Strickland. “Jeep’s versatility and class-leading capability make it a perfect partner for the New Jersey Devils, complementing their determined spirit on the ice.”
Fans can also enjoy Jeep displays once they are inside the arena. Jeep-branded LED signage has been placed throughout and the famous Zamboni ice resurfacing machine has been graced with a Jeep-themed wrap. The ‘Jeep Frontier Club’ is another new addition and gives hockey fans the chance to experience an upscale lodge-like dining experience at the game.
Rounding out the Jeep-themed additions are a Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Renegade display in the Jeep Experience Zone and a Jeep on-ice challenge that will enable lucky fans to win a Jeep by making a series of shots into the goal. Jeep owners who present their key at certain Jeep-branded locations will also receive a special prize. It’s a wonderful time to be a Jeep owner and New Jersey Devils fan.
