The Formula 1 rodeo heads to Texas this weekend for the United States Grand Prix, the fourth to last race of the 2016 Formula 1 season.
Mercedes-AMG’s Nico Rosberg leads the driver’s championship over teammate Lewis Hamilton heading into the US GP, while Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo occupies third in the championship. Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen is fourth followed by Red Bull’s Xax Verstappen in fifth and Ferrari teammate Sebastian Vettel in sixth.
Last year Hamilton had the upper hand on Rosberg in America and stood atop the podium at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas, but with Rosberg’s recent form, the Briton will be hard pressed to replicate the result. We’ll get a hint as to which driver may have the upper hand this weekend during Saturday’s qualifying session, which will air on NBC Sports at 3:00 p.m. ET.
The 2016 US GP will air on NBC on Sunday, October 23rd at 3:00 p.m. ET.
