Late last month Automotive News spoke to an insider source that had an abundance of information on the 2019 Ram 1500. Among the scoops was info on the next-generation Ram pickup’s styling, which they described as an evolutionary design that wouldn’t stray too far from that of the current truck’s.
Top Speed has now taken the information provided by AN on the 2019 Ram’s styling and brought it to life through a digital rendering. Sources said the new truck would feature the same large chrome grill with smaller integrated headlamps, a raised hood, front air intakes above the tow hooks, horizontal fog lamps, smaller taillights and back-up lamps that are vertically integrated into the liftgate.
Not all of these elements have been worked into Top Speed’s render, though we do see most of them. The rendering does a good job of guessing at the Ram’s slightly revised grille and integrated headlamps and also includes the horizontal front fog lamps, front bumper air intakes and raised hood. AN’s sources said the 2019 Ram would also feature a styling line that runs front-to-rear along the top of the wheel wells, which hasn’t been included here and will likely have the biggest influence on the truck’s styling.
