Jeep has debuted the special edition Renegade Desert Hawk ahead of its official unveiling at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in October.
The Renegade Desert Hawk is set apart from standard versions of the compact crossover by its unique hood decal, a US Army Star side decal, matte black front grille, 17-inch black aluminum wheels, off-road skid plates, rear tow hook and Desert Hawk’ logo on the driver’s door. The show car in Paris will also sport a Mojave Sand exterior color, as seen here.
Inside the Renegade Desert Hawk boasts black leather and cloth seats with white accent stitching and ‘Desert Hawk’ embroidery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a premium instrument cluster with 7-jnch TFT display and a 6.5-inch UConnect touchscreen with navigation. Other standard equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, a tire pressure monitoring system and cruise control, while optional extras consist of My Sky removable roof panels, a Parkview rear camera and nine-speaker Beats audio system.
This being a Jeep, the Renegade Desert Hawk also features off-road equipment such as the Jeep Active Drive Low system with 20:1 crawl ratio and a Selec-Terrain system with exclusive Rock mode and Hill descent control. The crossover, to go on sale in Europe in November, will be available with a 170 horsepower 2.0-liter MultiJet II diesel engine and nine-speed automatic transmission.
