The 60-second spot, which aired on television on Monday, September 26th, features the song If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out” by Cat Stevens. Jeep says the spot “provides an inside look at the grueling, yet exhilarating trek, and how Grand Cherokee Trailhawk earned its Trail Rated® badge by proving its traction, water fording, maneuverability, articulation and ground clearance capabilities.”
The commercial was filmed using drones and 360 degree cameras. Jeep made both a standard 60-second ad and a 360-degree version that allows viewers to control their point of view and get a better look at the legendary Rubicon off-road trail and the new Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.
In addition to airing on TV, ‘Free to Be’ will also be promoted across Jeep’s social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The ad is apart of Jeep’s year-long 75th Anniversary celebrations, which so far has seen the introduction of an entire lineup of 75th Anniversary Edition Jeep vehicles and the first-ever ‘Jeep Fest’ in Toledo, OH.
