Jeep has applied mild updates to the Cherokee for 2017, adding HID headlamps, new trim packages and more content for Trailhawk models.
The new HID headlamps are standard on all Cherokees except for entry-level Sport versions. The Cherokee trim line, introduced in mid-2016, also lives on and brings with it an optional Heavy Duty Protection Group with skid plates and a Trailer Tow Prep Package.
A new Cherokee Altitude special edition has been rolled out as well and builds on the Cherokee Sport with 18-inch gloss black wheels, a leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, tinted windows and gloss black exterior trim.
Finally, the Cherokee Trailhawk has received more premium content in the way of heated and ventilated Nappa leather front seats, a power eight-way driver seat, heated steering wheel, power liftgate, Keyless Enter ‘n Go, remote start system and universal garage door opener.
Pricing has yet to be announced.
