Imagine you have $60,000 to blow on a two-door sportscar but have no idea what to buy. It’s a pretty great problem to have, and if you ever do find yourself in that scenario, there’s a good chance someone will suggest you take a look at either the Alfa Romeo 4C or BMW M2.
The 4C and M2 are two very different answers to the $60k sportscar problem. The 4C is a stripped out track toy that entirely foregoes comfort and refinement to deliver a pure, visceral driving experience, while the M2 is more of a jack of all trades.
Which of the two you prefer will probably be reliant on what your truly looking for. If you have another car and just want something to bomb around in on the weekend, the 4C is probably your best bet. If you’re looking for something to use as your everyday car but want to head to the local track every now and again, the M2 is better suited to the task.
Roadshow recently rounded up both the 4C and M2 at Michigan’s Ginergman Raceway to see which of the two cars they prefer. We here at FC Authority have had a go in these two and (probably not to your surprise) our money would go to the Alfa. Does Roadshow agree? Check out the video review embedded above to find out.
