The Fiat Avventura Urban Cross, which debuted in February at the 2016 Auto Expo in New Delhi, will launch in India shortly.
Indian automotive dealers have reportedly begun taking pre-orders for the hatchback, which will start at Rs 7.5 lakh (about $12,300 USD) for base models and top out at around Rs 10.5 lakh (about $17,250 USD).
The Avventura Urban Cross is based on the Avventura, which is a more rugged version of the Fiat Punto Evo. The Urban Cross is different in that it lacks a tailgate mounted spare wheel and also boasts a more modern looking grille and headlights, silver body cladding and trim and other aesthetic changes.
Both a 139 horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and 92 horsepower 1.3-litre Multijet turbo-diesel engine are expected to be offered in the Avvenutra Urban Cross. A five-speed manual is the only gearbox option.
