Some models in Dodge’s lineup, like the Challenger Hellcat for example, aren’t the best vehicles for driving in the rain. Big power, rear-wheel drive and wet pavement is a recipe for disaster if you don’t know what you’re doing, but thankfully not all of Dodge’s cars are so unforgiving in the wet.
The automaker also has a lineup of all-wheel drive models in the Charger, Durango and Journey. The Durango and Journey offer AWD across their entire model ranges, while only the V6-powered Charger is available with AWD. Dodge’s AWD lineup is slated to grow in 2017, with rumors surfacing this week an AWD Challenger will debut shortly.
Dodge recently launched an ad marketing its three-strong AWD lineup. To help consumers realize the advantages AWD has in the rain, the spot features footage of the Charger, Durango and Journey driving around in torrential downpour with an ominous voiceover chatting about the rain laid over top.
