Fiat Chrysler has shown the Fiat 124 Spider America special edition ahead of the vehicle’s debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in October.
The limited run roadster pays homage to the 1981 Fiat 124 Spider Pininfarina 50th Anniversary, which celebrated the 50th birthday of revered Italian design house Pininfarina. Just like that car, the 124 Spider America features a magnetic bronze exterior color and builds on the look with silver mirror caps, available 17-inch four-spoke alloy wheels and a vintage look luggage rack. Rounding out the exterior changes is a celebratory plaque with the vehicle issue number and a special grille badge.
All 124 Spider America editions will come standard with a Tobacco leather interior, full LED adaptive headlights with light and rain sensors, 7-inch touchscreen display with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, navigation system with 3D maps, nine-speaker Bose audio system, rear parking camera and keyless entry system. Like other European spec 2017 124 Spiders, it will come with a 140 horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged engine and six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission.
Order books for the 2017 Fiat 124 Spider America will be open in major European countries this October,
