The 2017 Dodge Charger has followed the 2017 Challenger in offering Fiat Chrysler’s next-generation UConnect 4.0 infotainment system for the new model year, in addition to new interior options and exterior paint colors.
FCA’s new UConnect system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Android Auto will enable users to use Google Maps and Google Play Music, while CarPlay will support Apple Maps, Messages, phone and Apple Music through Siri Voice control. The system also comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display and benefits from a higher resolution screen and better processing.
The Charger SE, SCT, R/T, and R/T Scat Pack will come with standard Houndstooth cloth seats for 2017. Dodge has also introduced new 19-inch Hyper Black finish wheels, which are available exclusively with the Rallye Package on SE and SXT AWD models.
The venerable Chagrer Hellcat has received some small changes for 2017 as well. New Lightweight 5Deep Aluminum wheels are now standard and shave 4 lbs of unsprung weight from each corner, while new interior and exterior badging helps further distinguish it from other SRT models. A new ‘SRT’ logo steering with LED illumination is also now available along with Hellcat-embossed leather seats.
Rounding out the changes are new Destroyer Gray Clear Coat and Octane Red exterior colors.
