The hottest Fiat 500, the 695 Biposto, is powered by a 187 horsepower version of Fiat’s 1.4-liter turbocharged MultiAir engine. There’s a lot more power to be extracted from the little four-cylinder mill however, as evidenced by this big turbo Fiat 500 build.
The Smoking tire’s Matt Farah recently had a viewer from Canada visit him in California so he could drive his 260 wheel horsepower Fiat 500. Surprisingly, the Fiat isn’t based on the hot Abarth model, but is instead a standard 500 turbo, making this unique build that much more interesting.
Providing the big boost in power is the turbocharger upgrade, however the MultiAir engine also gets a bump from Mitsubishi Evo fuel injectors and a three-inch exhaust. The owner also installed Abarth wheels, Abarth struts, Eibach springs and sticky BFGoodrich SportComp 2 tires, among other upgrades.
