This past weekend Fiat Club America enjoyed the 33rd edition of their annual Fiat FreakOut meetup, which was held in Fiat’s hometown in North America – Detroit.
Fiat FreakOut is a weekend-long event that brings Fiat fans from all over America together for a weekend of socializing and automotive activities. This year. Fiat FreakOut participants had the opportunity to race other Fiat owners at Michigan’s Kart 2 Kart indoor go-kart track, drive around Metro Detroit’s best roads during a poker run and show off their driving skills in an autocross course.
That wasn’t all the enthusiastic Fiat owners did during their 33rd ‘FreakOut’, though. Fiat Chrysler hosted the group at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum Saturday, turning the parking lot of the museum into an Italian-car lover’s dream. Club members also had the opportunity to go into the museum and learn a thing or two about FCA’s past.
The weekend was completed with the club’s appearance at the annual Concours d’Elegance of America at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan. The club wowed show-goers with their vats variety of Fiats, which ranged from the original Fiat 500 and 124 Spider to unique modern-day offerings like the Fiat 500e.
