Ferrari once broke the record for world’s fastest open top car with the limited-edition Ferrari 575 Superamerica, which could hit 198 mph. That record has since been beaten quite considerably by the 254 mph Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, but you can still get a fast open-top Ferrari.
Novitech Rosso has just debuted their tuning package for the 661 horsepower 488 Spider, which brings the output of the mid-engine supercar to a significant 762 horsepower and 658 lb-ft of torque. The extra power comes via new ECU and injection mapping, more boost pressure and an electronically-adjustable exhaust system. When all the upgrades are said and done, you’ll have a convertible supercar capable of hitting 212 mph on your hands.
The German tuning company has applied its know-how to the exterior as well, introducing a carbon fiber front lip, rear lip spoiler, rocker panel skirts, side mirrors, rear light surrounds and air intake surround. Aftermarket wheel options are also offered and include 21-inch aluminum or three-piece staggered 21/22-inch units.
Novitech Rosso also includes an electronic suspension lift kit for getting the carbon fiber splitter over larger bumps and will reupholster the interior in nearly any colour of leather or alcantara the customer pleases. Pricing options aren’t available, but you can probably guess what kind of cash it requires to have someone professionally modify your Ferrari.
