Jeep has announced it will sponsor the 2016 Crankworx mountain biking festival, which is to be held in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada from August 12th to the 21st.
The Crankworx festival is largest event of its kind in North America and will attract the world’s top downhill, slopestyle and endurance mountain bikers and over 135,000 fans. Jeep has sponsored Crankworx for the last five years and it sees its sponsorship of the event as a natural fit.
“As the Jeep brand marks its 75th Anniversary in 2016, we’re thrilled to be back supporting Crankworx,” said FCA Canada VP of marketing, Bill Levasseur. “Part of the Jeep DNA is derived from its prowess for rugged, outdoor adventure, which fits perfectly with this famous B.C. mountain biking event. Also, Crankworx has gone global with events in France and New Zealand, a great reflection of Jeep’s success on the world stage.”
As part of its ‘Gold level’ sponsorship of the festival, Jeep will have a two-level display in the Whistler Skier’s Plaza featuring the ‘Jeep Viewing lounge’. There will also be five other Jeep displays throughout the Whistler village, a Jeep Off Road Drive Course and the ‘Jeep 360’ program, which will enable attendees to reeive Jeep prizes and gear.
