Woodward Dream Cruise is described by Fiat Chrysler passenger car brand boss Tim Kuniskis as the ‘Superbowl’ for the Dodge brand. Mopar faithful descend upon Detroit in droves each August to show their support, and 2016 was no exception.
Dodge has taken Dream Cruise a bit more seriously the last couple of years, mostly due to the introduction of its Roadkill Nights event. First held in 2015, Roadkill Nights allows car enthusiasts of all types to participate in drag races for cash prizes, show off their rides and connect with other enthusiasts. This year’s edition of the event attracted more than 30,000 car lovers from all over America.
Dodge isn’t the only FCA brand present at Dream Cruise. Despite its off-road roots, Jeep enthusiasts take to the asphalt on Woodward Avenue in big numbers each year. This year Jeep brought its Easter Jeep Safari concept vehicles to Woodward for fans to enjoy, along with the new Jeep 75th Salute 75th anniversary concept.
