In its most powerful form, the Citroën 2CV produced a thundering 29 horsepower from its air-cooled flat-twin engine. That, combined with its thin body and simple chassis, makes it just about the worst place to start when building a performance car.
That didn’t stop one Italian man from melding a Citroen 2CV breadvan with a Ferrari 355 to create…something. The 2CV body was dropped over the running gear of the 355, with the mid-mounted engine nestled nicely in the Fourgonnettes’ rear storage area. The delivery van has also retained many 355 parts in the cabin, including its steering wheel, shift knob and shift lever and seats.
The weird creation was recently spotted driving by a member of YouTube’s car community, just in case you didn’t believe us that it is indeed real. It’s probably the best sounding 2CV on the planet thanks to its 355 organ donor and a Capristo exhaust system, but it does little to detract from its looks. We’d be lying if we said we didn’t like this thing though – ugly looks and all.
