Dodge has revived the Charger Daytona nameplate for 2017, debuting the trim level for the four-door sedan alongside the 2017 Challenger T/A ahead of the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit.
The Charger Daytona brings with it SRT front and rear bumpers, a Satin Black spoiler, Satin Black ‘HEMI’ hood graphic and rear quarter panel ‘Daytona’ graphic and a Satin Black roof. Rounding out the exterior changes are 20-inch Mopar Hyper Black II forged-aluminum wheels with ‘Daytona’ center caps. The interior is set apart by ventilated Nappa leather and Alcantara seats with gold accent stitching and ‘Daytona’ embroidery, aluminum bezels and trim, gold dashboard stiching, velour floor mats and performance pedals.
Both the 485 horsepower 6.4-liter 392 HEMI V8 and 375 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMV V8 are offered with the Daytona. A Mopar cold-air intake and 2.75-inch active performance exhaust system with 4-inch tips is included with the 5.7-liter V8, while 6.4-liter equipped cars also receive an intake along with a 3.09 final drive and 230mm limited-slip rear axle. 6.4-liter equipped cars receive Brembo six-piston brakes and an electronically controlled active exhaust, as well.
Pricing for the 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona with the 5.7-liter V8 will start at $39,890, while the 6.4-liter will hike the price up to $44,995.
