Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire gets to drive some seriously fast tuned machines. Many of the builds he climbs behind the wheel of offer up huge power, but he recently tested out a modified ride that has a lot more to offer than straight line speed.
Performance parts supplier TPC invited Farah out to Summit Point Motorsports Park to sample their latest creations. Among those was a 2015 Dodge Viper T/A that has been equipped with Tractive electronically adjustable shocks and TPC’s ‘Dynamic Suspension Control’ module, giving the usually untamed Viper fast-responding active suspension.
TPC’s DSC system actively responds to driver inputs. For example, if you were to enter a corner hard enough to incite body roll in a vehicle, the system would automatically stiffen the dampers on the outside front wheel to help level the car. According to TPC, the result is “is a vehicle/chassis that refuses to be upset by rapid directions changes and weight shifts.”
The Viper T/A Farah drove was equipped with Stop-Tech brakes and Hoosier slick tires, making it right at home around Summit Point. See what Farah had to say about the specially modified Viper in the video above.
