If you like the Dodge Viper and Plymouth Barracuda, as most Mopar-mad enthusiasts do, you’ll love what RK Motors Charlotte has just listed for sale on eBay Motors.
What you’re looking at is a 1971 Plymouth ‘ViperCuda’. As you may have guessed, the ViperCuda is essentially a Dodge Viper with the body from a 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda dropped over top – the brainchild of Florida-based customizations shop Time Machines.
The idea for the ViperCuda came to Times Machines owner Mike Staveski’s mind after he lost his beloved Hemi Cuda in a divorce settlement. While out for a spin in his friend’s Dodge Viper, he envisioned melding his remaining Mopar, a ’71 ‘Cuda with a modern day performance car and thus, the ViperCuda was born.
This ViperCuda, which is 1 of 6, is based on a 1995 Dodge Viper and packs a supercharged 547 horsepower 8.0-liter V10 under the hood linked up to a six-speed manual transmission. The original Viper frame has been reinforced for better rigidity, and some tuning has gone on with the coil overs and factory sway bars for better cornering ability.
Other features of this unique build include four-wheel disc brakes, a center-exit exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and 18-inch wheels shod in high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The Viper’s interior has also been carried over and features a fully functioning OEM air-conditioning system and Sony stereo.
You can currently make an offer on the ViperCuda, with RK Motors listing its price at a decent $99,900. So what’ll it be, the ‘ViperCuda, or a new Dodge Viper GTS?
