Pokémon Go has taken the app world by storm this week, sending pale kids in Charizard t-shirts wandering around their neighborhoods like zombies. Scuderia Ferrari is now trying to steal some of the app news thunder, though, releasing their first-ever app for Apple iOS.
The app gives Ferrari Formula 1 fans all-access during race weekends, but also encourages users to share Ferrari-related content in order to unlock new levels and win badges. Much like the F1 championship, the app uses a point system to record users’ scores, awarding them for signing in, liking posts and sharing content.
Ferrari will also choose the best content from each race weekend to inspire app users to post and share content and receive a reward from the team. Fans can also take part in challenges and answer questions about that day’s on-track action for additional points.
The Ferrari app is available to download now from the Apple App Store.
