Today’s Formula 1 cars are equipped with extremely small high-definition cameras that record a racer’s every move. Such camera technology hasn’t always been around, but that didn’t stop racing teams from sticking cameras on their cars or drivers’ helmets – even in the very early days of F1.
The best part about these onboard videos is the sense of speed it gives the viewer. Sure, an F1 looks quick from the outside, but seeing things from the driver’s point of view and watching them steer, brake, upshift and downshift truly helps you appreciate just how fast they are going.
To help you power through this Hump Day, we’re sharing a 12-minute long compilation of Ferrari Formula 1 onboard videos. The video covers every era in F1 (even the 1950s!) and features some legendary Ferrari F1 machine such as the championship winning F2001 and F2007.
