Hennessey Performance Engineering has released the first video of its HPE1000 tuning package for the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, which brings the output of the already wild muscle car to over 1,000 horsepower.
The HPE1000 kit for the Challenger Hellcat includes twin ball-bearing turbochargers that work on conjunction with the factory roots-type supercharger for a total of 15 psi of boost. Other necessary equipment is also added including a high flow intercooler system, an upgraded fuel pump, stainless steel turbo headers and downpipes, a new fuel pump and injectors and a new intake system.
The result of this engine overhaul? 1,032 horsepower at 6,500 RPM and 987 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 RPM. If you manage to put the power to the ground (good luck) the HPE 1000 Challenger Hellcat will monster the quarter mile in 9.9 seconds at 142 mph.
