After making its debut in March, the Fiat Talento commercial van has been priced from £19,795 in the United Kingdom excluding VAT.
The Talento replaces the Fiat Scudo van and shares its platform with the Renault Traffic and Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro. The van is available in nine different bodystyles and is offered in short and long wheelbase form.
The entry-level Talento is offered with a 1.6-liter turbocharged diesel engine that offers up 95 horsepower and 43.5 MPG on the European scale. In ‘Ecojet’ spec, the engine is coupled with a start-stop system that boosts fuel economy to 46.3 MPG. A ‘Multijet’ version is also offered and bumps output to 120 horsepower with fuel economy sitting at 43.5 MPG.
Buyers can also tap more performance from the can by opting for the 125 horsepower or 145 horsepower twin-turbocharged version of the 1.6-liter engine. The more powerful engine doesn’t sacrifice fuel economy for performance, with the 145 horsepower version returning 46.3 MPG.
Entry level Talentos will come equipped with remote central locking, electric front windows, electrically-controlled and heated side mirrors, a height adjustable driver’s seat with armrest, a full-size spare wheel and an audi system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity.
For an extra £1,000, buyers can step up to the ‘SX’ trim level that adds air conditioning, a mobile office kit, rear-parking sensors, and improved upgraded interior trim and exterior detailing. The Talento Combi Active, which is the people mover variant of the van, receives a rear window wiper and de-fogger, a luggage cover, a passenger side airbag and folding/removable rear seats. An additional £2,000 nets buyers the Combi SX and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, automatic lights and wipers, a leather wrapped steering wheel, electronic cruise control, an upgraded audio system, sat-nav and improved trim inside and out.
The Fiat Talento is available now in the UK and other international markets.
